David was the reporter, host, and co-producer of WFAA-TV and TEGNA Media’s Verify Road Trip. He drove actual people so they could pose their inquiries, observe what he observed, and draw their conclusions.
Verify was created to offer viewers a storytelling style that is very different from what local news has often provided.
David is also a University of Michigan alumnus, a two-time Scripps Howard winner, a national Murrow Award winner, and a Poynter Institute Ethics Fellow.
According to his Linkedin profile, David received the DuPont-Columbia Silver Baton, regarded as the Pulitzer Prize for broadcast journalism, in 2021 for his coverage of climate change.
He has won the national Edward R. Murrow Documentary Award twice and the Scripps Howard National Journalism Award thrice.
