Shannon Noelle Depuy was born on December 23, 1970, in Sanford, Florida, to Marie Norris and Ed Depuy. Shannon was a close child to her parents because she was the only child. Her father was a Leon County Commissioner, and her mother, Marie, was a teacher.

Her initial school was in Tallahassee, Florida, where the journalist grew up. She continued her high school career at Tallahassee’s North Florida Christan High School. At the age of 17, she graduated from there with the class of 1988.

The Fox News Supreme Court reporter acquired a strong interest in journalism and reporting at a young age.

Her interest in the field was sparked by the attractive female journalists and talk show hosts she watched on television.
