The brothers started the killing as a trio in 1979 when they were all in their 20s. Linwood was 25 while James Jr. was 23, and Anthony was 21 when they started the deadliest serial-killing of the American history.
However, Linwood had already made his hands dirty when he shot his neighbor Orline Christian, 57, when he was 16.
The trios’ first victims were a couple William and Virginia Bucher who were lucky enough to have survived on March 12, 1979.
Briley brothers did not miss their targets afterwards as their first dead victim was named Michael McDuffie who was shot on March 21.
March 31 saw Linwood shoot Eric Alvin Clark, 28, over drug dispute and it took 9 days for them to lay waste on another victim. This time being 76-year-old Mary Gowen, who was raped and robbed before killing.
The trio went on to kill Christopher Philips, 17, on July 4, John Harvey ‘John G’ Gallagher on September 14, private nurse Mary Wilfong, 62, on September 30, Blanche Page, 75, and Charles Garner, 59, on October 5, before ending up their spree on October 19.
The final victims were their friend Harvey Wilkerson, his 5-months pregnant wife Judy Diane Barton, 23, and her 5-year-old son Harvey Wayne Barton.

Their eldest brother Edward Jerome was not involved on the crime.
