Karen Eames was arrested for financial fraud of Grand Larceny and helping her husband commit the crime. The investigation is underway.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office in Syracuse held a press conference on Thursday announcing that Karen Eames was arrested and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession in the second degree.

The arrest came after an investigation started after an attempted money transfer to a bank account shared by Karen and her husband, Isaac Eames.

Isaac was working as a Civil Deputy at the time, and he was in charge of a civil account that included garnished earnings, civil settlements, and fees paid by private citizens.

There was money from both taxpayers and non-taxpayers. Isaac Eames “was internally perpetrating thefts over a period of time,” according to Onondaga County Sheriff Gene Conway.

He went on to say that monitoring the civil account was a “desirable position” and that the inquiry was still ongoing, Conway added.

After the murder and suicide case of Deputy Isaac Eames emerged in public, Karen Eames received a lot of compassion from the general public. Well, the love has turned down to confusion after the flash of alleged involvement in Grand Larceny.

On Thursday, Conway revealed that Isaac Eames left no suicide note, offered no apologies, and expressed no remorse.

In February 2022, Deputy Isaac Eames tried to kill his entire family, including his kid Troy who was 21 years old. The sole survivor, Karen Eames, touched the hearts of many.

However, after a thorough investigation, the couple seemed to have involved themselves in a financial fraud that came into the limelight.

According to Fitzpatrick, the thefts claimed by Isaac and Karen occurred between January 2020 and July 2021.

According to officials, the probe uncovered 13 transfers and two more that were identified and halted.

According to Conway, the thefts appeared to be motivated by “pure greed,” according to Conway. Between their jobs, the couple earned around $115,000 per year.
