Orsolya Gaa Murder Suspect Arrested: David Bonola was arrested on Thursday in the death of a Queens woman who was stabbed over 60 times and whose body was discovered in a duffel bag over the weekend, according to the New York City Police Department.

David Bonola, 44, was detained soon before 1 a.m. on Thursday, according to the NYPD.

Bonola knew Gaal from providing maintenance on her property, according to police sources, and knew where to get the key. He allegedly stabbed her to death as her 13-year-old child was upstairs, according to reports.

According to authorities, David Bonola, 44, was arrested on charges of murder, criminal tampering, and criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Orsolya Gaal.

Gaal, a 51-year-old mother of two, was discovered in a bag by the side of the road near the intersection of Metropolitan Avenue and Jackie Robinson Parkway in Forest Hills just after 8 a.m. Saturday, according to the New York Police Department.

According to three law enforcement officials, Bonola is a handyman who lived near the victim.

After an argument, he allegedly showed up at the victim’s house and killed her in the basement, according to the sources.

Gaal arrived home around midnight on Friday after seeing a play with friends near Lincoln Center and then stopping by a local bar alone. Her body was discovered eight hours later, on Saturday morning, by a dog walker.

Gaal was stabbed 58 times in the neck, torso, arm, and hand, according to police sources. Her death was ruled a homicide by the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner owing to “sharp force neck injuries.”

According to one source, David Bonola confirmed his romance with the married mother of two teenage boys and admitted to battling with the victim following his surrender. According to police sources, he has no past criminal history.

Gaal allegedly fought back when faced by the relentless killer after returning home from a night out with friends in Manhattan, with detectives discovering defensive wounds on her hands, according to officials.

Before Bonola confessed to the violent stabbing, investigators soon zeroed in on a man who had been intimately involved with the victim.

Gaal’s 13-year-old son was asleep upstairs at the time of the fatal altercation, while her husband Howard Klein and their 17-year-old son were visiting colleges around Oregon.

According to the NYPD, David Bonola was charged with murder, criminal tampering, and criminal possession of a firearm.

According to police, the assailant entered Gaal’s home through a rear door and attacked her on the first floor, inflicting hundreds of wounds as she battled for her life. The woman had defensive cuts on her hands, according to the Daily News, indicating she fought back against her killer.

Police sources said it was unknown how the victim met her killer or when their relationship ended because the suspect had previously been inside Gaal’s home.

Neighbors told the Daily News that there were no signs of any difficulties with Gaal, characterizing her as a kind mother who always had a grin on her face.
