Who Are Stanley Braswell and Chanel Flynn? Toledo Ohio Assault Case – Are They In Jail? Charges Explained

Stanley Braswell and Chanel Flynn were arrested in March 2019.

According to Wtol 11 news,  Braswell was taken to the Lucas County Jail, where he remained until his arraignment at the Toledo Municipal Court.

Braswell was indicted on three counts of rape for having s*x with an underage girl. Further, impregnated her in May 2016.

Meanwhile, Chanel Flynn who was aware of the crime had failed or acted to protect the minor.

After the girl had disclosed about the assaults in January 2019, the Toledo police were relentlessly searching for both Braswell and Flynn.

Ultimately, after a week of investigation, Braswell was captured on March 22 in the 800 block of East Bancroft Street.

After the court hearings, Stanley Braswell was sentenced to life in prison.

The victim had stated that Braswell had started abusing her when she was only 11 years of age.

It started as physical abuse, soon turned into s*xual abuse. After this, the victim revealed that she also suffered from depression and anxiety.

After getting impregnated with Braswell’s child, she was told to tell people that she met a boy from Detroit at a party.

For the rest of his life,  Stanley Braswell has been classified as a tier III s*x offender.

At the same time, his girlfriend Chanel Flynn was sentenced to 30 months in prison. She is charged with a third-degree felony of endangering children.

Stanley Braswell and Chanel Flynn are a North Toledo, Ohio-based couple. They lived in the 400 block of Lapier, according to reports.

They were allegedly involved in the alleged crime in May 2016, according to court filings. Braswell also worked in the rap sector, according to the report.

“Hennessy,” as Stanley Braswell was better known, was his stage name.

Braswell is also characterized as a male who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs roughly 173 pounds. He is a member of the Afro-American ethnicity.

Braswell will be 42 years old in 2022, when the culprit was 39 years old at the time of his conviction.

Sentenced to Life In Prison For Raping 12-Year-old Girl

She was 11 years old when the abuse started.

It started as physical abuse, she told the court. Then it became s*xual abuse. Her grades in school dropped, she got depressed, angry, and anxious. Now 16, she said she is afraid to go outside, because she starts to panic when she sees people who look like Stanley Braswell, the man who abused her.

Braswell, 39, with a last known address at a residence in the 400 block of Lapier Street, pleaded guilty to rape as an unclassified felony Tuesday morning in Lucas County Common Pleas Court. He then waived his pre-sentence investigation and was sentenced to life in prison.

The victim told the court that Braswell impregnated her, but she was coached to tell people that she met a boy from Detroit at a party and had s*x with him. The baby was born and adopted by another family.
