Teenager charged with murder after 20-year-old woman dies days before Christmas leaving loved ones in ‘total disbelief’

A teenager has been charged with the murder of a young woman who died just three days before Christmas – as her family say they are in ‘total disbelief’.
Courtney Boorne, 20, was found by police in a critical condition at an address in Quarry Green, Northwood, at around 4.40pm on Thursday.
She was subsequently rushed to hospital, but later died. A post mortem is being conducted to determine her cause of her death.
Liam Cain, 19, was arrested following her death and has now been charged with murder. He has been remanded into custody to appear in court on Wednesday.

Following Ms Boorne’s death, Detective Inspector Laura Lamping said: ‘Our thoughts first and foremost are with the victim’s family.
‘We are in the extremely early stages of this investigation and our officers are working to establish exactly what happened.
‘While we have already made an arrest, our enquiries continue in the area and we would appeal to anyone with any information on this tragic incident to please come forward and speak with our officers.
‘If you were on Quarry Green at around 4.40pm this afternoon and witnessed or heard anything suspicious, then please get in touch. Any information you hold could be vital to our inquiries.’

In a GoFundMe page, Ms Boorne’s family said they are still trying to come to terms with her death.
They said: ‘We are in total disbelief last night we got the worst news about the Murder and still trying to come to terms with what’s happened and due to it being on Christmas Eve it’s been very difficult for all of the family and would appreciate every penny you can donate.’
