Debra Jeter has been sentenced to life in prison, so that he may be currently serving his sentence. On May 27, 2010, Debra Jeter was sentenced to life in prison without any chance of being released after she confessed her crime of killing her daughter and hurting another severely.
Her surviving daughter was prevented from testifying in court because of the confession, which avoided the death penalty. In an abandoned house in Hillsboro, Hill County, Texas, USA, police found Jeter and her 12-year-old daughter Kelsey dead. Her elder daughter Kiersten was bleeding and barely survived the attack.
Debra Jeter’s Confession
After this unfortunate event, Jeter herself called 911 and reported her crime. She told the 911 operator that she had killed one of her daughters and another was severely injured and needed help.
A knife was used as a weapon to kill. After killing his young daughter, Jeter surrendered to the authorities and seemed to understand what had happened.

Debra had a mental health condition and was taking mental therapy as well. On that day, she had made plans to visit her two daughters after she got released from the hospital. She took them to an unoccupied house on Interstate 77 just before the 35th lane in Milford.
Jeter reportedly first stabbed Kiersten with a knife. Kiersten shouted for his sister to flee as she fought with her mother. This shifted Debra’s attention from Kiersten to Kelsey. Trying to protect her sister, Kiersten got stabbed in the back. Unfortunately, Debra cut Kelsey’s neck and died in the bathroom of that house.
After that, Debra cut Kiersten’s neck and let her die. At the nick time, she decided to report her crime to the police after calling on 911 and asked help for her injured daughter.
Meet Debra Jeter’s Husband
Debra Jeter was married to her husband, Lester Lee Jeter, in the early 2000s. Later in 2009, Lester filed for a divorce from his wife for an unknown reason. Shortly after their separation, Debra attempted suicide in front of her daughters.
Following that incident, Jeter got temporary custody of the children. Debra was sent to a mental health centre after that.
