Detectives discovered Cooper dead and concealed a home’s attic insulation two weeks later. Her clothes and bedding were discovered near her body, but her underwear was absent. Moreover, they found a used adhesive bandage.
The medical examiner noted that Cooper had cuts and scraps on her legs, neck, and chest. According to an autopsy, Cooper’s death was asphyxiation, and a sexual assault kit was gathered.
