Anthony Campo – Keith Pool KKK Accusations
Keith Pool, an African-American cop, was left with the phrase KKK (Ku Klux Klan) on his raincoat by Anthony Campo, the former police chief of the Sheffield Lake Police.
The officer challenged the chief about it, but he just constructed a cone-shaped hat out of paper that resembled the hoods worn by Klansmen and wore it.
The incident of June 25, 2021 did not garner much attention until Keith spoke publicly about it on Thursday, November 12th. The victim was the department’s first black officer at the time of his enlistment, complicating matters further at an era when the United States is facing racism.
Keith’s lawyers also received a video of the incident via a public records request.
After that, the officer filed a discrimination complaint and a petition for a writ of mandamus with the Ohio Supreme Court, seeking the full release of Campo’s personnel records. Furthermore, he also complained against the police department for failing to stop the racist misconduct of the then-police chief.

In terms of Campo, he accepted his acts but said that they were a joke. He resigned, though, after Sheffield Lake Mayor Dennis Bring placed him on administrative leave.
Cop Pool also stated that Campo had previously called him racial obscenities and had posted racist leaflets on a bulletin board targeting him and another Hispanic officer.
This isn’t the first time the former police chief has sparked controversy.
According to 2018 reports, Anthony was involved in more than 30 suspicious underground online gun purchases.
