People are shocked as the former cop was arrested outside the US capitol the suspect in question is Jerome Felipe from NY.
Jerome Felipe is from NYPD, he was a cop from 2004 to 2018. Jerome, a 53-year-old posed as a member of Interpol to the authorities with a fake badge.
Conversely, Felipe was noticed earlier as soon as he parked his car, cops went and search the car, where they found a BB gun, two ballistic vests, a high capacity magazine, and other ammunition.

Jerome Felipe was a middle-aged man, who was arrested in the Capitol. He was spotted in the capital by a patrol officer as soon as he parked his Dodge Charger 2017 outside, he tried to enter the Capitol by stating on being Interpol agent.
However, his efforts were stopped by the authorities, as soon as they found out that he was impersonating an officer of Interpol. Looking inside his vehicle was a BB gun, a large amount of ammunition, and a high capacity the magazine stated to the Capitol police.
Felipe later told the authorities that he was a criminal investigator from an agency that sought to enter the capital by impersonating an officer.
He was charged with possession of a large quantity of ammunition along with unregistered ammo, but there were no real guns were found thus authorities are confused about his motive.

Felipe is removed from the NY state division of criminal justice service information, his removal is not from the current cause but rather an issue from 2018, as a disciplinary process was commenced during his retirement.
Felipe’s motive is still not clear to the authorities investigating the case. However, Capitol was stormed on the 6th January 2021 by supporters of Donald Trump, they disrupted lawmakers as the election was held during the joint session.
Moreover, many NYPD officers present and former were arrested and convicted of attacking the capital.
