Who is Louis Saha Matturie?
Matturie is originally from Sierra Leone but resides in Edwin Court, Eccles, and on Monday, September 6, 2021, he appeared in Chester Crown Court.
The 40-year-old was later remanded in custody until Friday, September 10.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: “The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised Cheshire Constabulary to charge a second man in connection with allegations of sexual assault.
“Cheshire Constabulary and the Crown Prosecution Service would like to remind everyone that criminal proceedings against Matturie and Mendy are live and that they have a right to a fair trial.
“It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice ongoing proceedings.”
Is he related to the former footballer Louis Saha?
There is no relation or connection between the former Manchester United footballer Louis Saha and Louis Saha Matturie.
Footballer Saha played for Fulham in the early 2000s, before moving to Man Utd in 2003 for £12.4million.
What is Louis Saha Matturie accused of?
Saha Matturie has been charged with four counts of rape and three complaints by victims all over 16, all of which allegedly took place between April and August this year.
Cheshire Constabulary has also linked this case to the Mendy case in which the 27-year-old was charged with three accounts of rape and one sexual assault in August.
Both Mendy and Matturie have been kept in custody and will next face trial on January 24, 2022.
