Two men and a teenage boy have appeared in court accused of the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Bradford. Kian Tordoff, 19, died after he was found by police with serious stab wounds on John Street on Sunday morning.

 

Police investigating the tragic death of 19-year-old Kian Tordoff have charged a fourth man with murder.

Amaad Shakiel, 20, of Leaventhorpe Lane, Bradford, has been charged with murder and attempted murder and is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, October 18).

The charges relate to the death of Kian, from Bierley, who was stabbed in John Street in Bradford city centre in the early hours of October 10.

Emergency services rushed to the scene but the teenager, who has been described as a “golden-hearted” young man by his best friend Ellis Rubery, sadly died a short time later.

The charges also relate to the stabbing of a second man in the same incident.

It means four people have now been charged with the same offences following Kian’s tragic death after two men and a 16-year-old boy were charged with murder and attempted murder on October 14.

They are Arbaz Khan, 21, of Yew Tree Avenue, Bradford, and Aizaz Khan, 26, also of Yew Tree Avenue, Bradford. The 16-year-old boy can not be named for legal reasons.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said the incident remains under investigation by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.

Three appear in crown court charged with the murder of Kian Tordoff

TWO men and a youth have appeared before Bradford Crown Court charged with the murder of Kian Tordoff.

Arbaz Khan, 21, and Aizaz Khan, 26, both of Yew Tree Avenue, Daisy Hill, Bradford, and a 16-year-old, who is also from Bradford, were remanded back into custody this morning by the city’s Recorder, Judge Richard Mansell QC.

All three appeared in front of the court on video links after the case was at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Another hearing was fixed for November 5 when a trial date will be set. The defendants are not required to attend.

Michael Morley, for the Crown, said the case would take two weeks.

A plea and case management hearing will take place in February at a date to be fixed.

There were no applications for bail at today’s hearing.

Kian Tordoff, 19, died after he was stabbed in Bradford city centre in the early hours of Sunday. The police were called to John Street at 5.45am where they found both Mr Tordoff and Matthew Lowther with stabbing injuries.
