Zoe Loouise Ball, better known by her stage name Zoe Ball, is a British radio and television presenter who was the first female host of the BBC’s The Radio 2 Breakfast Show and Radio 1 Breakfast.

In the 1990s, the broadcaster co-hosted the children’s show Live & Kicking with Jamie Theakston for roughly three years, from 1996 to 1999.

Ball replaced Claudia Winkleman as host of the BBC Two spin-off show Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two in 2011, and remained there until 2021.

However, that was not the case as the BBC broadcaster apologized for pulling out of her morning show, BBC Radio 2, after having thanked her listener for their support during her unexpected absence earlier.

In the apology, the broadcaster has also stated that she is ok and thanked Richie and Ken for stepping in and she will be back tomorrow. The broadcaster expressed her apology via Twitter.

Following her tweet, the curiosity of people finally came to an end, and further were relieved that the broadcaster is doing well with her health.

What Happened To Zoe Ball This Morning

The fifty-one years old broadcaster, Zoe Ball arrived 25 minutes late on her BBC Radio 2 breakfast show and further left the show within an hour, leaving stand-in presenter Richie Anderson to tell listeners that she was not feeling well.

Zoe apologized to her fans for pulling out of her morning show via Twitter later in the day. The radio presenter fronts her own breakfast show on weekdays and had been due to return to hosting duties for the first episode of the new week.

Her tweet, however, revealed that she was late due to having a flat tyre, while the travel reporter Richie Anderson covered the show until she arrived at around 6.50 am.

She even joked that her stand-in would be disappointed to not get to host the morning show for longer due to her arrival, though Richie was later given that opportunity when she disappeared without warning.

The stand-in presenter Richie, then stated that Zoe had to leave as she was not feeling well.

After Richie explained that Zoe Ball left as she was not feeling well, fans were really worried about the broadcaster and further curious to know about her illness, however, she is not suffering from Covid.

Her tweet later that day revealed that Zoe was late due to a flat tyre on her car while she was driving to the show and became unwell as she overexerted herself as she immediately rushed into the show.

She even said that she is fine now and will be back tomorrow. Following her tweet, we can conclude that the radio presenter was not feeling well as she overexerted herself and rushed to work.

The presenter assured fans that she was fine and doing well with her health. Moreover, Zoe thanked them for all the lovely messages that she had received since her unexpected departure.
