In December 2015, shocking news broke about the New York Yankees pitcher. He was allegedly involved in domestic violence incident with his then-girlfriend, Cristina Barnea.

During the argument with his partner in Davie in October 2014, the MLB professional allegedly fired eight shots into the garage wall. In addition, his lady love also claimed that Aroldis choked her and pushed her against a wall.

The baseball player’s then-attorney, Jay Reisinger, denied the allegation on behalf of his client. Aroldis Chapman was nearly traded to the Dodgers when the news broke out, but Dodgers put it on hold.

Chapman was neither arrested nor charged because there was insufficient evidence to support the allegations. However, the Cuban-American player was on a 30-day suspension under MLB’s new domestic violence policy.

His then-lawyer was pleased with the investigation of the Davie Police Department and the office of the State Attorney. They took the time to investigate the matter fully and concluded that charges were not warranted.

For now, the player is doing well both personally and professionally. In addition, he is enjoying his life to the fullest with his loved ones.
