Tristyn Bailey: 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey has been found dead. One person is in custody in connection with the case. There is no current threat to the community.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has preliminarily identified the body of 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey, who was reported missing Sunday, May 9.
The circumstances surrounding her death are currently unknown, and an investigation is underway, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Bailey was last seen around 1:15 a.m. at the Durbin Amenity Center in northwest St. Johns County, authorities said. The sheriff’s office deployed numerous resources and began searching the immediate area. Her body was discovered at around 6 p.m. Sunday, according to the statement.
Authorities do not believe there is a threat to the community at this time.
