Leclerc-Imhoff was killed after he was hit in the neck while seated in an evacuation vehicle that had come under fire. The report says he died on the road to Lyssychansk in the Severodonetsk region of Ukraine.

Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff Death Cause
CNN affiliate BFM TV released a statement saying they are “deeply saddened” by the death of Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff. The statement further reads on Monday, he was hit by shrapnel while accompanying a humanitarian mission in an armored truck.
He was joined by his colleague Maxime Brandstaetter, who was slightly injured in the attack, and their “fixer” Oksana Leuta, who was not hurt.
