Kamaru Usman – Jorge Masvidal was magnanimous in defeat after getting knocked out by Kamaru Usman at UFC 260.

Kamaru Usman knocked Jorge Masvidal out in the second round at UFC 261 to truly stake his claim as an all-time great welterweight champion.

Masvidal took the fight on six days’ notice at UFC 251 in 2020 and went the distance then, but this time around with both men enjoying full fight camps, Usman devastated Gamebred.

Given that the Nigerian Nightmare is renowned for his wrestling, but now he has two sensational knockouts in a row and he is becoming the complete fighter.

Usman opened up the fight with a couple of fantastic right hooks, but Masvidal seemed to enjoy them, almost.

Street Jesus was looking for a lot of leg kicks – surprisingly after what we’d seen on this UFC 261 card – but it wasn’t too long before Usman landed his first takedown.

Masvidal fought his way back to his feet well but had to eat a couple of big straights from Usman after doing so.

Similarly to how Masvidal knocked out Darren Till, he hit a running combo on Usman that finished with a rising knee and it visibly rocked the champion.

Round two started with Masvidal going back to leg kicks and Usman flashed him with a right hook.

Masvidal smiled, but then Usman landed a huge overhand right that put Masvidal out cold.
