Following a memorial ceremony at The Truth Church, Nay’loni Fairley was rested at Evergreen Cemetery on Main Street.

James Fairley, Nay’loni’s father, remarked, “I had no idea how deep her love reached in Jacksonville.” “Everyone adored her.”

Nay’loni, who was in first grade, was described as a “vibrant, clever, and inspirational” young lady.

She was characterized as enchanting and someone who needed to be known.

Minnis, her teacher from Dolls Dance company, described her as “always ready to go.”

Furthermore, the teacher added, “she was always willing to help me with whatever I needed. She was unafraid of anything difficult.”

Minnis informed her other kids about Nay’Loni’s death, and she says they all struggled with the sudden loss.

Nay’Loni was widely popular as Shakira Robinson because of her dancing moves. Fairly was six years old when she got killed at her home in a gun accident.

Nay’loni accidentally shot herself in the head on October 7 with her mother’s gun.

According to a report from the Florida Department of Children and Families statistics for child fatalities in Duval County, she died at a local hospital not long after the incident.

Father of Nay’Loni, James Fairly, received the devastating call from Nay’loni’s mother.

Her mother claims she performed CPR on her daughter until first responders arrived.

In the United States this year, over a thousand children under 12 have been killed or injured by the gunshot.

By December 29, 2021, the death toll had surpassed last year’s total of 999.

The record was already high since the Gun Violence Archive began maintaining regular records in 2014.

A total of 4,552 young people aged 12 to 17 were killed or wounded, up from 4,142 previously.
