Former NBA player Jalen Rose has filed for divorce from his wife, ESPN anchor Molly Qerim, and the reason seems to be something different.

Rose submitted the paperwork earlier this year to start the divorce process and put an end to their 2.5-year marriage.

Rose said the marriage ended after Qerim went to Connecticut, according to the divorce paperwork.

Though Rose did not get into the details about why they were divorcing, he did mention that there was no love between them.

They were separated when Moly moved to Connecticut.

Some distances were already arising betwee their marriage, and so Rose decided to end the relationship.

And then filed the divorce for the issue.

Rose has not requested alimony, and neither has Molly. Qerim does not desire spousal support and the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement.

Jalen stated the divorce on Twitter, admitting that he had been apart from his wife for a year before filing for divorce.

At ESPN, Rose and Qerim continue to collaborate.

Rose was a member of the NBA from 1994 to 2007 before transitioning to television anchoring, and she previously worked for NFL Network.

Former NBA star and ESPN analyst Jalen Rose announced on Wednesday that he and “First Take” co-host Molly Qerim have filed for divorce.

The couple had been married for three years.

“After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go our separate ways,” Rose wrote on his Instagram story. “We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship going forward. Please respect our privacy at this time.”

Connecticut court records, first obtained by TMZ Sports, show that both parties filed for divorce by early May.

Qerim, who has removed Rose’s last name from her social media accounts, has yet to address the divorce. She was on “First Take” as scheduled on Wednesday morning.

Qerim, 37, was named a co-host of “First Take” in 2015. She is usually tasked with moderating the iconic ESPN morning show and keeping host Stephen A. Smith and his guests on track.

Rose, 48, was a member of the “Fab Five” team at Michigan and played in the NBA from 1994-2007. He joined ESPN shortly after retiring, and has been an analyst on “NBA Countdown” since 2012, among other things.
