Leslie and her husband decided to adopt a kid as a result. On the 11th anniversary, a representative from the Edhi Foundation in Pakistan called Leslie’s phone to inform her that her son had just been born.
They were both excited and took a 27-hour flight from Los Angeles to Karachi, Pakistan, passing through Chicago and Manchester, England.
When she first held that adorable baby in her arms, he opened his eyes, looked at me, smiled, and completely won my heart. He was adopted at that point, making her his mother for all time.
