Husseini provided vague details, but he did confirm that the veteran Actor passed away on January 14, 2023. In addition to the fact that his death has been confirmed, Femi Ogunrombi’s cause of death has not yet been made public, and it is unknown what caused his death at this time.

Digital Journalist and talent manager Mr. Mayowa Adenekan, who also shared the news on social media, claimed that the late Actor filled in for the original Papa Ajasco character when he could not perform.

Undoubtedly, Ogunrombi was the most well-known comic Actor from Nigeria. He substituted for Abiodun Ayoyinka on television in 2006 after the latter backed out of the show by playing the famous comedian Papa Ajasco.

The Papa Ajasco series, a Nigerian family television sitcom created by Wale Adenuga in 1996, focuses on the Ajasco family and their interactions with others. As the bald, promiscuous husband who could care less about his wife, Mama Ajasco, and his mischievous son, Bobo Ajaccio, Ogunrombi played the lead role.

Papa Ajasco Biography Explored

For about ten years, Ogunrombi, who was also a producer, oversaw the composition of Nigeria’s national anthem.

He was the Pencil Film and Television Centre’s director of studies. Ogunrombi, a native of Abeokuta, Ogun State, was born in Ife, Osun State, and later moved to Lagos with his parents in the 1970s.

Ogunrombi began studying nursing in 1975 and briefly worked at the General Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos. Ogunrombi returned to school in the 1980s to study Dramatic Arts at the Obafemi Awolowo University after developing an interest in music and the arts.

He started and directed The Ayoro Voices, a choral ensemble at the OAU. Between 1980 and 1990, this group represented the University’s culture. He founded and led the National Choir before leaving the government in 1998 to start his own music Company.

According to reports, Ogunrombi is married and has at least three children. His age and the number of his children have not yet been confirmed.
