After being shot in a Texas home, Sonia Argentina Guzman and Diana Velazquez Alvarado are dead.

In Cleveland, located approximately 55 miles north of Houston, a horrific incident occurred at around 11:31 pm on Friday, according to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office.

On arrival at the scene, authorities discovered a suspect had carried out a series of shootings at a Texas home in response to a harassment call.

According to reports, the shooter opened fire with an AR-15 rifle, killing five people in an “execution style” attack.

Among the victims, three were female, and two were male, including an 8-year-old.

Sonia Argentina Guzman and Diana Velazquez Alvarado are two individuals who were identified as victims of a tragic shooting incident in San Jacinto County.

The home where the shooting incident occurred had ten individuals inside, and the four victims were discovered deceased inside the House, while the child died later at the hospital.

The victims were found in various locations within the House, including the living room, a bedroom, and by the front door.

During an interview, San Jacinto Sheriff Capers disclosed that two females were found lying on top of young children to keep them safe in the bedroom.

He also stated that all of the victims were shot in the head in what appeared to be an execution-style killing.

Three children were taken to the hospital, with blood covering their bodies, but they were not physically injured.

According to reports, the shooting was prompted by a neighbor’s request to Oropeza to stop firing rounds in his yard.

Authorities searched a 2-mile radius, believing they had the suspect within the area. Still, Oropeza may have avoided capture after his cell phone and clothing were found.

During an afternoon news conference, San Jacinto Sheriff Greg Capers stated that Oropeza could be anywhere, leaving the community on heightened alert.

The FBI’s Houston-area office, represented by James Smith, has urged anyone who spots the suspect to contact 911 immediately.

The search for Oropeza continues, and the authorities are working diligently to ensure the community’s safety.

The community is devastated by the tragic news, especially those who knew the family from Honduras.

The loss of life and injuries have left the community in shock and mourning.

Has The 38-Year-Old Suspect Been Arrested?

San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers reported that authorities were still hunting for Francisco Oropeza, a 38-year-old suspect who used an AR-style rifle in an attack in Cleveland, Texas, approximately 45 miles north of Houston.

According to Capers, Oropeza’s rounds were aimed at the head and neck region.

The shooting, which occurred just before midnight on Friday, was the latest in a disturbing trend of gun violence in the United States, with many involving semiautomatic rifles. 

Capers further stated that the authorities were utilizing scent-tracking dogs and an overhead drone in their search for Oropeza, who they believe was inebriated at the time of the shooting and fled towards a heavily wooded forest miles from the scene.
