Kirsty Gilmour is a female badminton player of the highest level. She has represented Britain and Scotland in a variety of international games. She’s famous for her crazy shots and incredible talent. One of the most notable performances of Kirsty was the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She also became the first Scottish woman to win the Scottish Open since S Egelstaff in 2009 when she took victory in the women’s singles in November 2017. Kirsty’s determined campaign also made sure that she defended her title in 2018.
Kirsty has not stopped till the Scottish Open title in 2018. Kirsty has added three more medals to her kitty, one gold and two silver medals on the BWF World Tour in 2019 and 2020. She also took bronze at the 2019 European Games in Minsk. She was part of Scotland’s bronze medal-winning team at the 2020 European Team Championships. Kirsty Gilmour is the highest-ranked active Scottish badminton player.
