The 78-year-old former game show host revealed to his Twitter followers on Friday that he was being treated for ‘blood poisoning’ and was making a gradual recovery.
Furthermore, he wrote that he was being treated at Royal Perth Hospital with a serious bacterial infection that led to blood poisoning. However, the good folks (doctors) there got him on the road to recovery.
The Australian TV personality spent 6 nights in the ICU before he was transferred to the emergency room for 1 night.
According to Burgess’ manager Evan Broadway, the media personality ha been due to be discharged last Friday.
