Johanna Farber Close Up Video Reddit – The Austrian climber Johanna Farber is in the news after her inappropriate images started surfacing over the internet. As per the reports of CNN, Ms Farber appeared in the Women’s Boulder semifinals that took place last week. Here, some of her inapt pictures, precisely of her bottom, were broadcasted on the national television and the viewers who were watching the event found it inappropriate. It is also reported that the pictures were shown in slow motion. Soon, the incident caught the attention and the viewers started bashing the organizers for sexualising the women athletes. Soon, the climber also took to her Instagram and expressed her displeasure on it.
Johanna Farber slammed the coverage calling it “Upsetting and disrespectful”. She added that she was embarrassed thinking that thousands of people watched the slow-motion clip on television and social media. Later, the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) came forward and apologized to the climber. The governing body shared a statement where they apologized to Johanna and all the athletes along with the sports community for airing those kinds of images during the Women’s Boulder semi-final taking place at IFSC Climbing World Championship Moscow 2021. IFSC added that it condemns the objectification of the human body and will take quick action to protect the athletes.
However, it is not the first time when this type of thing has happened with Johanna Farber as earlier in the World Cup in June, broadcaster ORF has aired inappropriate images of the climber’s backside. Later, they have issued an apology after receiving backlash for sexually objectifying women athletes. The climber had also asked them to focus on the athlete’s performance rather than their bodies. Marco Scolaris, IFSC president, has also slammed the community and asked how many times they will keep repeating the old mistakes while a former climber Natalie Berry had also expressed her sadness on the same. Johanna Farber belongs to Austria and is reportedly 23-years-old.
