The other persons involved in the crash, which is said to have occurred near the player’s Cheshire home, are also believed to be unharmed.

Photos from the site have emerged, showing a £90,000 vehicle wrecked on the driver’s side, as well as two automobiles smashed down a tight road.

The second car, a Volkswagen, appears to have collided with a fence, the driver’s door dangling open. The tarmac was also littered with debris. The front airbags appear to have exploded, and the right-hand wheel was significantly buckled and pressed against the frame, which has large scuff marks.

The collision also threw emergency workers for a loop. Fernandes can also be seen standing on the side of the road with his smashed-up luxury car in parts in front of him in another photo uploaded on social media.

In his pre-match press conference this afternoon, United interim manager Ralf Rangnick stated that no one was injured in the incident and that Fernandes will be fine to face Liverpool. “Yes, he is training with the team,” Rangnick said. “Obviously, the accident happened on the way to Carrington, but as far as I know, no one was injured.” He worked out with the team, was OK, and will be fine tomorrow.” Fernandes’ accident occurred just one day before his team’s Premier League match against Liverpool.

Since joining Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, he has made a significant contribution to the team, scoring 49 goals in 120 games. In 40 games this season, he has scored 9 goals and added 14 assists. Fernandes played 90 minutes in United’s 3-2 win over Norwich at the end of last week and is expected to start tomorrow’s match at Anfield. This month, it was announced that he had signed a four-year contract extension at Old Trafford, which saw his weekly salary rise to about £240,000.

In the year 2020, he won four Premier League Player of the Month honours, making him the first player to do so in a calendar year. United is currently in fifth place in the Premier League, three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham. With a win versus Liverpool, they will be equal on points with Tottenham in the race for the final Champions League qualifying berth, despite having played one more game.
