Dungeons and Dragons 2 release date: Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has reignited the interest of the film industry in the Forgotten Realms; therefore, it is now opportune to assemble an adventuring party. So, we think it will only be a matter of time before Dungeons and Dragons 2 comes out. There’s no need to roll the dice.
Honor Among Thieves, a very fun Dungeons & Dragons movie, opened up a huge world of possibilities with its story of the runaway bard Edgin and his search for an old artifact.
As we said in our review of Dungeons and Dragons, it’s one of our favorite new movies of 2023. We’re naturally very interested in the future, so we’ve put together all the latest news.
Dungeons and Dragons 2 Release Date Rumors
We think Dungeons and Dragons 2 could come out as early as 2026 if Chris Pine gets his way.
Pine wants more and told GamesRadar that he’s “absolutely” on board. Also, “I don’t know anything yet, but I’m pretty sure it could happen,” he said. We’re in with Edgin too!
A lot of people really liked one of the best fantasy movies of 2023, so we knew people would want a follow-up. There is, however, a possible problem. The movie Dungeons and Dragons didn’t do as well at the box office as the studio had planned.
Cast Rumors for Dungeons and Dragons 2
You can see Chris Pine as Edgin again in Dungeons and Dragons 2. Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, and Chloe Coleman will also be back.
Pine really wants to go back to this world again, and Goldstein said he wants the main group to come back for a sequel so they can go even deeper into making up stories.
“People already know them, so you can get to the plot faster,” he told Polygon. “And it goes without saying that we love both the actors and the parts they play.” But along the way, we’d like to add some new characters and a lot of new monsters.
This is a possible cast list for Dungeons and Dragons 2:
- Chris Pine as Edgin
- Michelle Rodriguez as Holga Kilgore
- Chloe Coleman as Kira Darvis
- Justice Smith as Simon Aumar
What is the Story of Dungeons and Dragons 2?
Like any other D&D campaign, Dungeons and Dragons 2 will have to add a new threat and a new town to help after the happy finish of the first game.
We saw the group become the heroes of Neverwinter in the last movie, so we expect them to go out into the Forgotten Realms and start collecting those awards. There are also many character stories that could be told in a second movie.
Forge cut down trees in Doric’s area, and the land is still healing. The paladin, Xenk Yendar, has to deal with the Red Wizards trying to take over the world again.
The Harpers are the next group. It looks like Edgin wants to give up his life of crime. If that’s the case, will he permanently join the Harper family? Or will he go back to his old ways and get his friends in trouble with the law again?
