Handyman David Bonola Picture On Reddit: Intimate Relationship With Queens Mom Orsolya Gaal

According to the NYPD, David Bonola was detained shortly before 1 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, and charged with murder, criminal tampering, and criminal possession of a weapon.

After an argument, he allegedly showed up at the victim’s residence and killed her in the basement.

Bonola allegedly escaped through the park after disposing of the body, where investigators located his jacket.

During the investigation, they discovered bloody bandages and learned that Bonola had undergone treatment at a local hospital for cuts to both hands.

At the time of the murder, Gaal’s husband was out of town with their older kid, and their younger boy was in an upstairs bedroom.

After the murder, police suspect Bonola texted Gaal’s husband from her phone, mentioning a previous crime and implying that the rest of the family was in danger.

 Bonola had been in “an intimate relationship” with Gaal for two years, according to Chief of Detectives James Essig, who spoke during a press conference on Thursday.

Bonola had worked as a handyman at Gaal’s home for two years, according to NBC News. He stated that there are currently no other suspects in her death.

Gaal was discovered in a bag near the intersection of Metropolitan Avenue and Jackie Robinson Parkway in Forest Hills just after 8 a.m. Saturday.

They had been on and off for a while, and they had previously broken up before reuniting in early April.

One official stated, “Their relationship was considered to be over.” It’s unclear who broke up the couple.

A knife was grabbed during an argument between the two in the basement. According to Lt. Timothy Thompson of the NYPD’s Queens North homicide squad, they were having a “domestic type argument” over their personal relationship.

On April 21, 2022, David Bonola was charged with tampering with evidence and the illegal possession of a weapon.

In the Queens suburb of Richmond Hill, he worked as a handyman for Gaal and lived near her. Bonola was having an intimate relationship with Orsolya Gaal, a 51-year-old lady.

Bonola and Gaal got into a “heated argument” in her basement, during which he allegedly pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed her, leaving blood all over his clothes and cuts to his hands while Gaal attempted to defend herself.

The murder weapon and knife were later discovered at the crime scene by the police.

David Bonola is still in police custody and has yet to appear in court. It’s unclear whether Bonola has hired an attorney who can comment on his behalf about his arrest and prosecution.

Bonola’s charges have elicited no response from the district attorney’s office. According to New York state law, if convicted of second-degree murder, Bonola faces 15 to 25 years in jail.

The charge of first-degree criminal tampering is a class D felony with a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.

Criminal weapon possession in the fourth degree is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in prison.
