Richard Goodall TikTok video went viral From the Davis Park Elementary school function. He is a 53-year-old Terre Haute, Indiana resident.

He currently works for custodial duties in the school and has previously worked for Vigo County School Corporation for over 20 years.

Richard performed after the academic year; a talent show was held to honor the fifth-grade graduates.

According to Goodall, a woman named Mariah Denehie, who works with a Davis Park kid who has special needs, uploaded a video of her performance to TikTok.

Goodall noticed Denehie pointing her phone at him as he sang, so he knew she was either recording a video or snapping pictures.

Richard was cleaning and waxing the school floors the following day when Denehie informed him that she had uploaded a video of him to TikTok.

By that point, 107,000 people had watched the video.

Indiana School Janitor Singing Journey Yields Him Popularity

Indiana School Janitor Richard Goodall, who actually performs custodial duties in the Davis Park Elementary School, went viral on TikTok.

Richard was unaware of the fact that he was captured on a TikTok video by one of the staff at the school.

He sang a popular Journey song, “Don’t Stop Believin'” at an Indiana elementary school.

Steve Perry, the band’s original lead singer and a co-writer of the song, took notice of the performance. On June 29, Perry tweeted in response to the video, “I adore this.”

Perry made a similar statement on TikTok, where Goodall posted the video to his profile after reposting it. Goodall has spent a large portion of his life singing. He took part in the chorus in high school.

He recently sang in a gospel choir for eight years until the coronavirus outbreak forced it to disband.

According to Goodall, the aspect of singing he enjoys the most is that it helps other people. He remarked, whatever the song’s duration, “I just like people to grin, have fun, and forget their concerns for three minutes and 30 seconds.”

Goodall performed a virtual audition for “The Voice” when he went viral.
