According to unconfirmed reports, Katie left behind a suicide note, which is why police are not treating the case as suspicious.

Myer had captained her team twice and had been physically and mentally prepared for the crucial matches. However, nothing can be confirmed at this time because no official reports on her death have been released.

Stanford’s goalie’s family and parents have yet to speak to the media. She is also said to not have an affair or a boyfriend.

School authorities revealed on Wednesday that Katie Meyer was the person found dead in the dorm, but her death cause has yet to get officially reported.

According to the Stanford Daily, the students first noticed ambulances and cop cars around 11 a.m.

On the other hand, Residents reported seeing policemen inside the building, and numerous sheriff vehicles outside the building until early afternoon.

Following Myer’s death, the school created a number of grief resources that are available to students as well as many others in the neighborhood.

In addition, the university set up on-site tutoring at the site where Katie worked as a residential assistant. The athletics counseling department is now assisting the institution’s college athletes.

“We will mourn this loss as a community, and we will support one another,” Stanford said in a statement.

During her four years at Stanford, she captained the team twice and was named to the Pacific-12 Conference honor roll several times.

Over the course of three seasons, Katie took on nearly fifty different roles. She had twenty clean sheets, won 34 games, and allowed only 35 goals.
