During a brief court appearance in Ottawa, the Sault native addressed a topic that had been widely discussed by his internet fans the previous week. The topic of debate was whether or not King had legal representation.

In court, King also stated that he had hired two lawyers for his future bail hearing. Following that, questions got raised about whether King would require legal assistance while facing ten criminal accusations.
