David Anthony is now in jail in Palm Beach County and is sentenced to 38 years behind bars for second-degree murder and kidnapping of his wife. He confessed that he killed his wife Gretchen back in December.
Gretchen’s murder case came to attention when text messages from her being sick due to COVID were sent by her to her family and loved ones but they couldn’t get to her when they called.
Her family got panicked when they couldn’t contact her and thought she might have disappeared. But, something big had already happened when the Jupiter Police department found that she was not admitted to the hospital as told by her text messages.
On investigation of her house, police found that her missing case was a potential murder case, as they found camera footage showing a distraught neighbor approaching and a neighbor’s information about a woman’s scream.

In the murder case of Gretchen, police couldn’t find her body and were searching for a piece of evidence leading to a suspect. They got hold of a suspect when a photo of a black Nissan parked in her home was captured by the Neighbour at the time they heard a woman’s scream.
The car was of her ex-husband David Anthony, and when police went to his home to arrest him, he had already fled to Costa Rice, and they started their immediate hunt to hunt him down, and, the hunt was completed when they found him in New Mexico in 2020.
