AN Antiques Road Trip expert was left lost for words when they sold a wooden letterbox for a HUGE profit.
Tim Medhurst and Izzie Balmer went head to head to try and make the most amount of money in a recent episode of the BBC show.

Antiques dealer Tim got his hands on a wooden letterbox for just £140.
As the pair watched it go up for auction, Tim said: “I just think it’s charming, isn’t it?”
Izzie confessed: “I can see why you bought it. I’d have bought it we would have been fighting for it!”
The auctioneer went straight from selling it for £100 to £300.


More and more people were starting to how an interest in the letterbox, and it soon got up to £700.
“I’m speechless already,” Tim confessed.
And it didn’t stop there as it soon reached the £1,500 mark.
They finally sold it for a whopping £2,200.
Tim proudly stated: “Highest ever sale on the Road Trip.”
He added: I don’t know what to say…
“I’ll buy the last fish and chips and I’m going home.”
It comes days after Izzie was left shocked after a “risky” pendant that sold for a HUGE profit.
The TV star took the delicate Edwardian pendant to auction after buying it for £140.
It ended up making a huge £100 profit.


The first bid for the pendant was £65 and the price started to “climb quickly” to £140, before continuing to go up to £240.
“Oh I can breathe,” she exclaimed as the price went up – with the hammer going down at £100 profit. “That’s incredible.”
