Millie Bobby Brown has shown interest in portraying Britney Spears in a biopic, but she has one important condition: she wants Spears to be actively involved in how her story is presented.
Brown, recognized for her performances in “Stranger Things” and “Enola Holmes,” recently attended the premiere of her film “The Electric State,” where she shared her excitement about the role. She stressed that Spears’ narrative is hers to tell and should be shared in the manner that Spears prefers.
Brown’s desire to play Spears goes back to an interview on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in November 2022, where she expressed that Spears’ journey resonates with her.
Having grown up watching Spears’ videos and interviews, she feels a personal connection and believes she could authentically convey Spears’ story.

Universal Pictures has obtained the rights to Spears’ memoir, “The Woman in Me,” and a biopic is currently in the works with director Jon M. Chu at the helm. Although Millie Bobby Brown is not officially linked to the project yet, her blonde hair has led to speculation about her possible involvement.
Spears herself has expressed some skepticism about films depicting her life, posting on Instagram after Brown’s initial remarks became public. Nevertheless, Brown continues to support Spears in telling her own story and would be honored to participate if Spears gives her approval.
