BigXthaPlug, a rising star in the hip-hop scene, was arrested early Wednesday morning in Arlington, Texas, on a marijuana charge. The incident occurred after he was pulled over by police for driving with expired vehicle tags.
According to the Arlington Police Department, the officer noticed the expired tags and initiated the stop around 12:05 AM local time. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer reported smelling marijuana, which led to BigXthaPlug and his passenger, Cleodist Landum, being asked to exit the car.
During the search, officers found cigarettes and a green leafy substance in the vehicle’s console. Additionally, a handgun was discovered in the passenger door pocket. Cleodist Landum, who appears to be a relative of BigXthaPlug, had an active felony warrant out of Bexar County, Texas.
When Landum was searched, marijuana was allegedly found on him. He was booked into the Arlington City Jail on the warrant, as well as for possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

BigXthaPlug was charged with possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and was being held at the Arlington City Jail. His management team has not yet commented on the arrest.
This incident comes after a successful few months for BigXthaPlug, who has been gaining popularity in the hip-hop scene, particularly with his involvement in the New Texas breakout alongside other notable rappers like Maxo Kream and Monaleo. He was recently tapped by Lil Baby for his upcoming WHAM Tour following the release of his breakout album, Take Care.
