Actor and model Sam Asghari recently opened up about the impact his relationship with ex-wife Britney Spears had on his career.
In a chat on The Nikki and Brie Show, Asghari admitted that marrying the pop icon really helped elevate his professional journey.
When asked if he would “banish” someone for suggesting he owes his success to his time with Spears, Asghari agreed but made sure to clarify his feelings on the matter. He explained,
“It’s a hand to hand. That’s what happened when I started acting. I’ve been acting since high school. We met on a set during my last relationship [with spears], and I couldn’t ignore that she was the biggest superstar in the world, which definitely gave me a kick start.”
Asghari pointed out that fame often exists in a “firm gray area” and that many people find success through their connections with others.

Later in the interview, Asghari shared his perspective on honesty regarding personal life. When asked if he would “banish” someone for lying about their “body count,” he firmly said,
“Absolutely. Of course. Yeah. It’s like a used car. You come over here, you can’t reverse the mileage on that car. That’s illegal. It goes against the law.”
Asghari and Spears got married in June 2022 but went their separate ways a year later, finalizing their divorce in May 2024. Currently, he’s dating Brooke Irvine, a relationship he confirmed on Instagram in January 2025.
