In the Swiss league, Casalini has also served as a coach for SAV Vacallo. He won the Swiss Cup in 1999 after a contentious final against FV Lugano. Virginio Bernardi performed the feat again the following year in the same competition. Vacallo enters the final simultaneously but loses both times.
