Amina Said Boyfriend Joseph Moreno Story

After her father, Yaser Abdel Said, discovered her relationship with Joseph Moreno, he shot her. Said murdered his own daughters, Amina and Sarah, in a “honor killing” in 2008, which has become a defining homicide in modern history.

The father of two daughters was enraged that their daughters were dating men from other cultures and rejected the whole idea. Yaser said he didn’t want to raise wh***s as daughters, according to Patricia, Amina, and Sarah’s mother.

Yaser took his daughter out to dine one night before killing them both.

Joseph met Amina at the Excel Academy of Tae Kwon Do at a Bedford, Texas mall. Joseph stated that her beauty had almost charmed him.

Amina dropped in with her sister, Sarah, and brother, Islam, one day in 2004, and I was captivated by her almost instantly, Joseph remembered.

Amina was stunning. She had the most incredible green eyes I’d ever seen. She was ferociously clever and vivacious, and she constantly seemed to be smiling, he stated to Business Insider.

‘Yaser, Amina’s father, was Egyptian, and although marrying an American lady, Patricia, he held some fairly conventional views about gender relations.’

‘He saw himself as the family patriarch and wanted complete submission, Joseph added. Yaser’s obsession with controlling his girls went much beyond the typical overprotectiveness that many parents feel toward their children.

He even prevented them from dating and maintained a close eye on them at all times, frequently video or audio-taping them without their consent.

He wished to bring them back to Egypt and force them into arranged marriages with older men for a fee. Furthermore, it was disclosed later that he had been physically and sexually abusive to the girls since they were children.

Dating was difficult given the conditions, and Amina was often petrified imagining him spying on her with binoculars.

Jaser once spied on Sarah at work and chastised her for smiling too much at the clients when she acquired an after-school job working in a store.

They used to communicate in code words so that her father wouldn’t find out about their connection. Such as, a text with the number 7 indicated that her father intended to remove her phone and that I should not respond to any subsequent texts.

Yaser eventually discovered a message written by Amina for Joseph. Yaser didn’t believe her when she said it was for her imaginative boyfriend.

After Christmas in 2007, Amina and Sarah attempt, but fail, to flee with their mother Patricia to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Amina’s boyfriend has relations.

On the day of the incident, Yaser Said escorted Amina and Sarah to his taxi cab on January 1, 2008, kissed them, and told them he was taking them out to lunch.

Patricia wanted to join along at first but Said told her that he needed to talk to the girls himself. He allegedly took them both to Irving and shot both females to death in a taxi cab.

Amina died instantaneously, but Sarah managed to contact 911 while shouting “My father has shot me! I’m going to die!”

The case was dubbed, “The Price of Honor” in a 2014 documentary.

He reported seeing a guy matching Yaser’s description inside Islam’s unit.

Three years later, in August 2020, police in Justin, Texas, initiated 24-hour surveillance on a property. They saw Islam and Yassein enter and depart the house, as well as the shadow of another guy inside the house after the two men had gone.

Amina Said, 18, Died In Her Father’s Honor Killing

Amina Said fell victim to her father’s honor and belief. She was shot to death by Yaser for dating a man different from their community.

Sarah and Amina were continually telling others that Yaser was physically and sexually assaulting them. Sarah even informed one of her Facebook friends that Yaser treated her “like a whore.”

When the girls arrived at school with injuries, there was proof of maltreatment. The girls reportedly informed their classmates and a few teachers that Yaser was always monitoring them and that they were terrified to use the phone because he had bugged it.
