Strictly Come Dancing 2021: Who won BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2021? It has all come down to this.

Rose and Giovanni attempted the Argentine Tango, with John and Johannes jiving to Coldplay. But as the final hurdle nears, who danced their way into the nation’s hearts … and who headed home?

After weeks of intense competition, the Strictly Come Dancing winner will be crowned on Saturday night.

Rose Ayling-Ellis and John Waite will battle it out in a head-to-head final after AJ Odudu had to withdraw because of injury. It will be the first time the final has had just two contestants.

Both will perform three dances – a show dance, their favourite dance of the season and the judges’ choice.

Rose, who is deaf, and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice are favourites to win the competition after wowing viewers for weeks.

The Eastenders actress and her professional partner will be recreating one of the most iconic moments in Strictly history with their couple’s choice – during which the music stopped to give people an insight into what it’s like to be deaf.

TV chef John Waite and his professional partner Johannes Radebe are the first male same-sex couple to take part in the show.

The final gets underway at 7.10pm on BBC One, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

But who will be the winner? We will bring you the full results as soon as they are announced.

John and Johannes on Strictly

And that’s IT for Sunday nights on Strictly, and we’ve got the final three we predicted when Robert Webb left the show two months ago and we knew we were lining up for a three-way Grand Final – AJ and Kai, John and Johannes, and Rose and Giovanni.

Thank you for joining me for a lovely season of Sunday fun, I will obviously be back next Saturday for the GRAND FINAL, which starts at 7pm and is lining up to be an amazing show. Give me your thoughts in the comment box – who do you WANT to win, and who do you think WILL win?

I’ve also kicked off my annual poll for the winner on Twitter if you fancy joining in – you can find me @heidistephens, so come and say hello and cast your vote.

Also if you’re waiting to watch the smoking wreckage of a high emissions clunker that can’t quite accommodate a large family, our Prime Minister is up next. Then Top Gear is on afterwards.

Nancy and Rhys say lovely things about each other and the Strictly experience, including FRIENDS FOR LIFE.

’It’s good to cry, it’s good to feel,’ says Rhys. ‘Strictly makes you feel things, you feel so much and sometimes that’s overwhelming.’ Cry it out, Rhys, we’re all here sobbing along with you. Honestly, we’re all going to need to rehydrate after next week’s Final. Bring Dioralyte.

Rhys and Nancy take to the floor for their final dance, to ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley. A dancefloor classic.
