Balwani, played by Naveen Andrews, is one of the series‘ most popular characters.

Fans have been praising the London-born actor on Twitter every week. However, several people were curious about what it needed to portray the part. Was it necessary for Andrews to acquire weight in order to play Dropout?

Many fans couldn’t believe how beautifully Andrews had aged after not seeing him since the early 2000s drama Lost.

Andrews was so dedicated to his trade that he weighed in on the part. The actor stated in an interview with The Guardian that he gained 1st 6lb (9kg or 20lb) for the job in order to plump his physique and face. “At the very least, I wanted to look like the role I was portraying,” he explained.

Andrews was born in Lambeth, London, to Nirmala Andrews, a psychologist, and Stanley Andrews, a businessman, both Kerala natives.

He grew up in Wandsworth, where he was raised in the Methodist faith.

Andrews’ childhood was “extremely oppressive,” he said.

Furthermore, he began dating his 30-year-old mathematics teacher, Geraldine Feakins, at the age of 16, and moved in with her to escape his harsh parents; their son, Jaisal, was born seven years later, in 1992.

Andrews’ parents ostracized him after this, and they died before they could reconcile. He has shown his forgiveness to them.
