Pop Smoke, whose real name was Bashar Barakah Jackson, was killed during a home invasion in Hollywood Hills in February 2020.

The incident occurred after he inadvertently shared his location on social media, making him a target for robbery. The intruders stole valuable items, including a Rolex watch, which they later sold for $2,000.

Walker’s sentence was the result of a plea deal that dropped a murder charge, potentially saving him from a life sentence without parole. He acknowledged his role in the crime and promised to steer clear of negative behavior during his rehabilitation.
